My university experience from an intellectually disabled perspective.
The obstacles and triumphs of my first semester in college after almost 30 years. How my brain functioned and what I had to do to survive the first semester.
I decided what field I wanted to study and did everything necessary to begin my college career. All the hoops I had to jump through before I even began. My first semester was over and I overcame my intellectual disability with hard work.
What matters most is my son through the divorce. There was a lot of anger and bitterness on both sides. It was a very tough time for me. I start to talk about the divorce and how I got through it.
All good things must come to an end. For me, I had to adapt to a whole new life once again, and it is just as hard as the first time.

I don’t know if aspirations or goals are the correct word, but in reality, I didn’t have much of either one. Realities were the only constant.
